Welcome to Misty Ridge B&B!

A Personal Message to Our Guests and Friends of Misty Ridge
Over the past few months, I have received many messages from past guests asking why Misty Ridge Bed & Breakfast stopped taking bookings in December 2025.
After more than twenty-two wonderful years of welcoming visitors from around the world, I felt it would be fair to share a little more about the circumstances behind that decision.
Firstly, I would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who stayed at Misty Ridge over the years. Many of you returned time and again, and what began as a small Bed & Breakfast gradually became a place filled with friendships, stories, and very special memories.
Your support and kindness have meant more to me than I can easily express.
It was always my intention that, when the time came for me to slow down and eventually retire, Misty Ridge might continue under the care of someone else. Many of you knew that this was something I had often spoken about, and it seemed like the natural next step after so many successful years.
Unfortunately, an ongoing issue relating to several very large trees situated along the neighbouring boundary made that option difficult at the time.
Because of their size and proximity to the buildings, the trees raised concerns that needed to be properly addressed before the property could responsibly continue operating as guest accommodation.
As the owner of a Bed & Breakfast, I have always taken the safety and wellbeing of guests very seriously. After taking advice, it became clear that continuing to operate the establishment — or bringing someone in to run it on my behalf — while a known concern remained unresolved could potentially create complications from a liability and insurance perspective should anything ever happen.
For that reason, I made the difficult decision to close Misty Ridge rather than continue operating while the situation remained uncertain. It was certainly not an easy choice, as this place has been a very important part of my life for more than two decades.
For those who have asked about the situation, the videos below simply show the trees referred to above and their proximity to the property. My sincere hope is that the matter will eventually be resolved. Until then, I remain deeply grateful to everyone who supported Misty Ridge and helped make it such a special place over the years. Thank you again for being part of the Misty Ridge story.
Warm regards, Robroy Adams Owner – Misty Ridge
